The convention is really sneaking up on me. Less than a week to go now! A good friend is coming up from Philly on Monday and will be staying with me for a week, so that will make the last minute cosplay sewing a blast, and I do mean that in an awesome way. Nobi is pretty good at keeping me from panicking. Though, aside from wig styling, I really don't think I'm going to have a whole lot of panicking. Costume wise, I'm almost done with everything.

I don't doubt that I'm going to be doing sewing the night-before. Its going to happen. It ALWAYS happens. But this year I might actually just be doing minor detail work rather than whole chunks of costume. And really, if that's how things work out, I will be so super happy, there will be no words.

Tomorrow will see the majority of completion (I hope) of my baby sister's (she's 20, but the "baby") Tsubasa Chronicles Sakura costume. Its been coming along swimmingly thus far, and as of right now, the only thing that I've messed up on is that I had sewn the zipper in crooked. That will be a decently easy fix, and for my first time sewing a zipper, I'm not at all upset. In fact, I'm more impressed that I didn't screw it up more. This costume has me excited for many reasons. One of the biggest is because its really the first anime costume that I've made in a very, VERY, long time. Its also something that's very pretty, and to be honest, I've missed sewing pretty things that aren't related to historical clothing. That stuff is pretty too, but this, oddly, is allowing for more creativity, and is filling a void in my creative flow that I hadn't really noticed until now. Reason number two, is that we're competing this in Colossal's cosplay competition, and it will be Kat's first time on stage at a con. She's doing all of the prop work and jewelry, and her stuff is looking amazing thus far.  I can't wait to see everything of her's finished.

- the sleeves on my twin's Antimony Carver (Gunnerkrigg Court) cosplay
- the sleeves for my Merida cosplay
- adding wefts to my Merida wig
- making a prop arrow for Merida
- the cloak for Sakura
- fixing the zipper on Sakura

Attainable goals I think... I hope
